Artist Info

Welcome to my online photography portfolio. Here you will find a sampling of my work which covers a variety of themes and subject matter. I approach photography from an expressionist standpoint, with a belief that art is the result of subconscious reactions to a raw photographic image—art is a result, not the image itself. My images attempt to unlock that potential and draw forth an artistic reaction.

These works seek to capture shapes and textures of an abstract nature and to bridge the gap between familiar, everyday objects and their underlying, timeless forms. Some images are barely recognizable while others accurately represent scenic natural and man-made objects that convey a mood or feeling through their forms and values.

I believe that black and white photography most purely captures available subject matter and represents its true nature. The absence of color information in an image forces a viewer to spend more time interpreting and synthesizing a reaction.
